![]() Long time friends and label-mates Kill the Noise, DJ Craze, and Codes took over Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY on January 19th courtesy of boutique label Slow Roast Records. This being our first time at this Williamsburg venue, we were extremely impressed with what the joint had to offer. Even being a sold out show, there was room for everyone to spread out and dance. While most of the time that’s enough to make us love a venue, MHW also boasts a balcony, free water, outlets to charge phones, adequate bathroom facilities, basement bar, reasonably priced drinks, and $2 coat check. The show kicked off at 8pm and was affordably priced with tickets tiered at $18 presale and $25 GA/Door.

Since the year 2000, Sensation has been a leading pioneer in high-end EDM productions. In the subsequent years, it's popularity has risen exponentially; combining stellar execution with imaginative, detailed themes. Sensation consistently provides its patrons with unforgettable memories and has earned a solid reputation in the niche market. 2012 was the first year Sensation hosted it's legendary party in the US, and there could be only one location; New York City. Initially a two day event, in 2012 both nights presented a different lineup of 4 guest DJ's and their Resident, Mr. White. This year Sensation returned featuring only one night with Mr. White and 3 guests, but added a 30 minute Sensation production feature titled "The Mix”, while expanding its reach to 3 other popular party cities around the US. Even with the steep face ticket value of $175 and a strict white dress code, this party has grown in size, and drew thousands of joyful clubbers to Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY. With a plethora of events to choose from on Halloween night, the FRL crew chose to check out Bounce Music Festival’s NYC installment, featuring 3lau and Jordy Dazz at Best Buy Theatre in Times Square. Support for 3lau and Jordy Dazz included BMF regular Visionare along with Jus Jack, and Liquid Todd. We’ve attended shows at Best Buy Theatre before and we’ve always loved the incredible sound that venue can carry, but this time we were really impressed with BMF’s amped up production; lasers, compressed air, non stop confetti showers combined with blaring sound and Halloween decorations made this one of our best Best Buy experiences. We caught about 30 minutes of Visionare who impressed us despite having never seen him. He had the crowd jumping with his big room sound getting us ready for the next heavy hitter. |
