The downstairs dance floor was covered in graffiti and they were were some disturbingly good deep house being spun. This place was unfair…just unfairly unfair unfairness. There was a bar on the far end and some speakers right next to it that you could literally crawl into. It was such a blessing from the hustle and bustle and political correctness society. This place was completely void of real life. Stayed there for a bit just figuring out the vibes of the place and not realizing there were stairs that lead up to the main floor. We made our way upstairs after about 20 minutes.
Dubfire came on around midnight. Starting out by resetting the energy and creating an ambiance that only he could create…he quickly moved on to the deep, dark techno that he’s known for. The music was good. The music was very good. Solid mixing, solid song selection, solid venue. After a while the main floor became entirely too crowded with people though. We moved upstairs to enjoy the balcony overlooking the dance floor which had sufficient space for the evening.
