Over the past 4 years Holy Ship! has earned its fabled status as the mother of all dance parties on earth, but in the middle of the ocean. Shippers come from far and wide to get weird with top tier producer/DJ’s from major record labels all around the world. If you’ve ever tried to imagine your perfect party paradise, you would still fall short of Holy Ship. 40+ hours of music across 4 stacked stages kept a good crowd going everywhere at all times with plenty of room to move. During the day bumping pool parties, bottomless brunch, and general debauchery roamed the halls, but by night, elaborate outfits fashioned from all things fuzzy and glowing paved the pool deck with a parade of unparalleled eccentricity.
- Feb 18-21, 2015 leaving from the port of Miami, FL on the MSC Divina, with a planned stop at the Private Island Party on Coco Cay (stop cancelled due to weather).
- 4 main stages: Pool Deck, Theater, Black & White, and Galaxy Disco
- 1 bonus stage: Golden Jazz
- Tickets: Cabins ranged in price and size (2-4 persons). Tickets were all inclusive (except for alcohol, gambling, and shore excursions)
Doing it right
Breakfast - Between those magical hashbrowns, fried eggs, cheesy eggs, french toast, and fresh fruit, we were able to get all the nutrients we needed at the end of a long night to help recover for the next excursion.
Self-Serve Ice Cream - Two of these machines with chocolate and vanilla were located right outside the main mess hall on the way to the pool deck stage. Thankfully, the cones were well stocked until nighttime.
Doing it Wrong
Water, Water Everywhere... But not a drop to drink. It was beyond difficult to find water near stages and bartenders weren't keen on serving anything but exactly what you had a ticket for. We always had to pit stop at the room for a refill when migrating between stages.
Bonus!!!!! favorites sets playlist
After all is said and done, we can't think of a single thing we wouldn't sacrifice to be present for one sailing of Holy Ship each year, because there’s always a brighter tomorrow when you have a home to call Shipfam!
